Has anyone heard of a world wide shortage of shellac. I just reupped my 5 lb order and was told of a price increase because of a worldwide shotage. I could see a price increase because of todays economy.
 
I heard the same thing, something to do with the trees or bugs in India. Spray cans at the local hardware store are up to just under $12 each. I was warned a few months ago by the owner of the local paint store so I ordered flakes then.
