I have about 98% of all Fine Woodworking issues since it started publishing. As I believe all will agree it is a fabulous resource of ww info. Since due to age and reduced energy issues I probably will do no more major projects I am looking for ideas on how to dispose of them.

I could sell them. There seems to be a good marketm but I'd get more satisfaction if they got wider use.

I could donate them to Sawmill Creek's "Free Stuff" raffle, but only one person would benefit.

Donating them to the local county library  or university library is a possibility, but I;m concerned they'd not get a lot of use.

Would SAPFM be able to use them for the benefit of members?  Does anyone know of a school library that could use them effectively? Ideas Please!

Carl,

What a great idea.  I would suggest a donation to a school library possibly North Bennett Street School, Thadeus Stevens, etc.  Maybe some one can give you some contact names so you can determine interest.  Mark Arnold is a graduate of NBS.  Mark?  For Thadeus S. - Tim?

Sorry to hear you are having to slow down.

Get in touch with Steve Latta and maybe he would have one of his graduates that would be take advantage of them but not be able to afford them.

Thanks for the responses. A woodworkers club in Michigan that maintains a library for its members asked for them. It seemed like a good destination; so the are (or soon will be) gone. Sorry to disappoint any others.  Carl

If this discussion was useful, there are twenty years of them here. Join SAPFM to take part — the forum, the journal, the magazine and the members’ gallery come with membership.
