What happened to the SAPFM Member Gallery on the website?

I don't know how long it has been gone, but I no longer see the Member Gallery on the web site, i.e. the part where member completed projects were shown.  Maybe because I am accessing via an iPad?  Maybe I missed an announcement regarding the Gallery?  I found it very useful for ideas and reference. What's the deal?

At the top left of this page is a link. It says, "Join SAPFM Today". Click on it. It takes you to another page. In about the same place it says Gallery, cllick on that and it will open a pair of search boxes. To post photos to the gallery it says to do this.

How to Submit Photos for Inclusion in the SAPFM Member Gallery

1. You must be a member of SAPFM to have your work displayed in the gallery. Not a member yet? Join here.

2. Descriptions must be included for all photos and must include at a minimum:

    a. Dimensions, height, width and depth etc.
    b. Primary and secondary woods.
    c. Brief description. If the piece is reproduced from a book or magazine include the title of the book, author and page number.

3. You may submit up to five different photos for each piece of furniture.

4. Email digital photos to the SAPFM Web Editormembership@sapfm.org

5. Mail a CD or DVD of your photos to:

SAPFM reserves the right to post only selected works. SAPFM may use your submitted photos in promotional materials.

I believe that 4 and 5 is an either-or situation.

Additionally, it appears that you must be a member to see the gallery, and signed on to get
the two search blocks.  The Gallery Tab works when not signed in, but only displays submission info.
According to Forum Registration, one does not have to be a member to register for the forum.  So, one could
be a member of the forum and not be able to see the Gallery.

Mo,
did you click on the gallery tab or just mouse over it?  I did not sign in as a member and it works just fine. It could be clearer in how it works but it does work. Since it has a drop down menu it should be in the menu, but you just click on the Gallery tab. You can also just go here  http://www.sapfm.org/gallery

Mike, you are right!!  I was just mousing over Gallery and then clicking the drop down submissions menu.  Note for the Webmaster:  It may be less confusing by also including the gallery as part of the drop down menu to prevent an ignoramous like me from over thinking this situation and not realizing that I should just "Click" Gallery!

Update:  I feel forgiven for my logic after looking at all the other tabs which, by clicking them, bring up the drop down menus for their respective category, so a person of my small intellect would "Assume" that the Gallery Tab functioned in the same manner. Well not exactly.

If I may provide a view regarding this.  If I were a buyer, looking for high quality Period Furniture, and came across SAPFM Website; I would probably want to see products and the associated Craftsman.  Now if I am browsing and accustomed to the vast majority of websites having drop-down options under headings that appear automatically, I would click "Submissions" without thinking to click "Gallery".  Is there a slight chance that someone has looked for work, and been unable to find it?  I am a new member, and I didn't even know it existed; except when I was signed in.  Just a thought.

Since I am on travel, I am attempting to access the Gallery via iPad.  Following Bob's instructions does not work for me.  I am signed in as Member (it says "Welcome Member") but when I click on "Join SAPFM" all I get are the instructions for joining, and even clicking on the "Gallery" link I get only the instructions for submitting photos, not the two normal search fields. It does recognize me as a member signed in because it lets me into the Member Directory.

Are the links dependent upon the type of device being used?

did you just click on "gallery" or mouse over "gallery" get the drop down menu and click on that? just click on the word "gallery" and the search boxes will appear. to the right.

An interesting update.  On a whim I did an extended push on the Gallery link.  This is like doing a right click in Windows.  So doing it comes up the a menu to open, or copy URL, or some other options.  When you chose "Open" low and behold the two window Gallery search function appears.  So the trick is an extended "touch" on the iPad screen, followed by choosing "Open."  Cool.  Maybe a note could be added to some instructions somewhere?

Thanks Bob.  Your suggestion eventually got me there with some additional experimentation.
