At the most recent Virginia chapter meeting at Poplar Forest, a vote was taken to rename the Virginia chapter to distinguish us from the two other chapters that cover parts of Virginia (Tidewater and Backcountry).  The name Blue Ridge came to the fore since almost every member of the chapter can see it from their location and it, like our fellow chapters in Virginia, neatly describes the geography where most of the members live.

As always, members of any chapter are welcome to participate in Blue Ridge chapter events.
