He has lectured at Colonial Williamsburg, the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts, Winterthur Museum, and numerous schools and guilds across the country.

Working in conjunction with Lie-Nielsen Toolworks, he helped bring to market modern inlay tools, as well as instructional videos on the subject of inlay.

Steve earned his MA in American Studies at Penn State University, where he focused on the decorative arts.

Meeting Agenda

In addition to our featured guest, we will have announcements regarding upcoming 2013 course offerings and a recap on the events and training that have taken place since our last meeting.

Matt Nauman will give us an update on The Woodworkers Club move and what it means for our future partnership with the club as well as upcoming course offerings and the other services available. The Woodworkers Club was already a great friend and host to the club and I think you?ll be impressed with the new facility and with the amazing lineup of teachers they have booked.

We?ll also spend some time talking about what?s next for the Chesapeake chapter. We have plans for small get togethers, group builds, more training events and a new chapter website. This is your opportunity to give your input and volunteer to help out.

The agenda will include time for socializing, as well as short topic discussions still under consideration along with lunch and refreshments. We will also have our regular member Show & Tell, and the Tool Exchange, so bring any completed or work-in-process projects, tools or jigs that would be of interest to your fellow and lady woodworkers or unused woodworking items that you would like to sell. Show & Tell will only work if members are willing to show off their work, so please consider bringing something to share with the rest of the group.
