Gene's wife Jane passed in April, and his son has contacted me to help sell Gene's remaining tools. I'm heading down to visit next week to help figure things out. If anyone is interested here are some big stationary tools he'll be trying to sell:

Powermatic Thickness Planer
Powermatic Mortise Machine
Delta bench-top drill presses (2)
Delta Unisaw
Lathe - Heavy duty and long bed
Bandsaw

I'll have more detail on these with pictures, videos, specs, etc after I visit. If you have any interest send me questions, offers, etc.

There will also be several hundred smaller tools at some point in the future - Pfeil Swiss Made carving tools, Barr chisels, Molding planes, Lie-Nielsen planes, Rosewood marking gauges, etc. Most of these are tools Gene kept near his main workbench and were not part of the MJD Auctions in 2012.

There are also several incomplete projects which will be made available at some point.

Here is more detail on the large power tools from Gene Landon’s Shop. If you are interested in any of these please contact me, and I can get you connected to Ben (Gene’s son). I’m not sure how to price most of these so please make an offer! I have many additional pictures and videos if interested.

Powermatic 16” Thickness Planer
5 HP / 230 V / 1 Phase Baldor Motor. Powered on but kicked the breaker at start-up. This is wired to a 20 Amp breaker and the motor is rated at 21 Amps?? After Gene passed, I helped clean the shop and there was a pile of chips 3 feet high and 5 feet deep next to the machine so it obviously worked then. It hasn’t been used since 2011.

Powermatic Model 10 Mortiser
Powered on and ran smoothly. Table moves freely. Foot pedal works. Several bits were in a box next to the machine. I remember when Gene bought this machine. He had recently purchased a modern PM mortiser, and then found this. I believe Olde Mill took the new machine.

Lathe
This is a beast with a 6 ft bed. The only info I could find on it was a label that said “Hill Clarke & Co. Machinery Merchants”

Bandsaw
American Saw Mill Machinery Co. Westinghouse 3 HP motor. Turns on and runs smoothly.

Drill Presses
Two bench-top models. One is Rockwell/Delta and the other is Delta/Homecraft. Both run fine.

Delta Unisaw
I forget to get new pictures and additional info on the Unisaw. It is an older model with a more modern Biesmeyer type fence. Attached is an older picture I found.
