All members will be getting a copy of our new inaugural electronic newsletter in June, but, only if you have a valid email address in your profile.

Go to the User Login at  http://www.sapfm.org/member_area/login.php .  Sign in.  Once you are signed in, look on the left hand side menu bar under "Member Area Menu" for "Update Address or Email".  Click on this and verify or update your email address.

We will not be able to send you an email unless you have one on file in the member profile.

If you do not have a member login, and you are a member, you can request it by following the instructions on the Member Login page.

FANTASTIC job!

Not sure where we are supposed to post ideas; although it is a worldwide publication, I was thinking a classified section might be nice.

All those involved deserve congratulations on a job well done. Its not an easy task.

Not to put a damper on it but I could not get the links to work on my copy. Has anyone else noticed this?

Jim

I was viewing it on an iPad in an app called Documents, when I clicked on the link it exited the pdf and did not start Safari.

Okay, who do you notify if you have not received the email yet?
My email address is correct, and has been for years, in the members area.
Mike

Gentlemen,

That is a great question.  There may be a typo when your emails were put in place.  I will say to email Mark Arnold who is in charge of the site.  Then I will say email Bob Van Dyke who is the one sending the email blast for the newsletter.

Fred

Members can update their own email address if it is incorrect.  Just go to the member only area, login and go to profile info.  It is there.  Of course, that only applies to those whose email is incorrect.

If you did not get the email, you might want to check your spam filter.  Even if you do not believe you have a spam filter, your internet provider may have one. If it gets caught, you will not see the email.

If you do determine the spam filter stopped the email, you should be able to designate the sender as safe.  If it is being stopped by your provider, you will have to contact them.
All those not getting their newsletter, please feel free to post here.  We will get the link sent to you.

Alright, since I am on microsoft network and there is no apparent way to designate a "safe sender", I have obtained an alternate address from google on gmail.
I added that address to my SAPFM profile as an alternate email address.
Hopefully that will allow delivery of the next issue to reach me.
In the meantime I have downloaded the first issue from the homepage of this website.
For all the perceived "advantages" of email delivery, snail mail is still more reliable, and I would pay extra to have a snail mail hard copy delivery.

Glenn Huey gives a shoutout to SAPFM, and the Electronic Newsletter--

Hopefully all who did not get their newsletter is now able to download it from the sapfm main page.  If you are still having problems, contact me.

Ken Johnson

Maybe downloading the newsletter from a web page would be easier for all concerned-- a 'pull' subscription rather than a 'push' subscription.

"Maybe downloading the newsletter from a web page would be easier for all concerned-- a 'pull' subscription rather than a 'push' subscription."

Great Idea! Put it in the members only area and let us download it.

Much simpler for everybody.

If this discussion was useful, there are twenty years of them here. Join SAPFM to take part — the forum, the journal, the magazine and the members’ gallery come with membership.
