SAPFM Unplugged has been formed to discuss the traditional tools and methods used to make period furniture. Our emphasis will be on accurately reproducing American furniture of pre-industrial periods through use of the same types of tools used to build the originals. The group will meet monthly via Zoom and is open to all SAPFM members in good standing. We hope to see the discussion continued between meetings through this forum (which is not restricted to SAPFM members only).
The inaugural meeting was held via Zoom in May 2024 and was a success! Ron Aylor is the group lead and will be establishing the agenda for the monthly meetings (though we hope to see a lively discussion of proposed topics in this forum). There will be a separate thread announcing the upcoming schedule. Because this group is limited to active members, we will distribute the meeting link by email (please do not share the link with nonmembers).
