FS: Lie-Nielsen 2004 Limited Edition White Bronze #1-1/2 plane with rosewood handles. Lie-Nielsen made 500 of these, then destoryed the patterns, so they'll be no more. The alloy is a nickel-bronze and will not corrode. The handles are east indian rosewood. Included is the original box, packing material, certificate of authenticity, and the plane.

The plane is 8-3/8" long, by 1-1/2" wide. The blade is 1-1/4" wide.

The plane is new and has never been used. The blade has the original factory grind.

From the stanpoint of why you'd want something like this, it's not just a piece of shelf jewelry or collector's item. Particularly if you make small objects, like models, it's useful to have a plane that can be used as a small jointer. Larger handplanes that have the length required are quite a bit larger and tend to "bury" the work, and block planes are quite a bit shorter than this one.

Price is $335, including parcel post shipping to the CONUS. Insurance or faster shipping method is extra. Payment by check (must clear), money order, or PayPal. If you choose Paypal, I will eat the associated fees.
