In the 18th century, Inlay Makers working with stacked and cut veneers, produced the decorative elements that were added to tops, legs and drawer fronts and casework by skilled cabinetmakers. This weekend workshop covers simple black/white inlays and more complex sawtooth, dart/arrow and lunette bandings. Both traditional handwork and power-tool techniques are discusses. Participants complete a sample set of bandings. Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Machine Woodworking or equivalent experience.
