How would Bracket feet be attached on a blanket chest that has no lower drawers, and therefore no frame below the dovetailed carcase? Would it have been gimletted and nailed into the bottom of the sides, or was there still a framework that the feet were attached to and the chest sat on or in, which was concealed by a moulding applied above the joint? Thanks
