I know, I know, it's too early but I was wondering if there was any ideas of possible dates/locations for the next mid-year meeting? Trying to avoid any future conflicts with other activities etc.

Planning is underway and it tentatively will be 2 - 4 October in Connecticut with visits to the Yale collection and a historic home collection in Rhode Island. Plan on possible side trips Thursday, Friday, and Monday.

Thank you, thank you. Been hoping for a midyear at Yale. Still hoping for Winterthur, Dept of State Reception Rooms, Chipstone, Bayou Bend.

All of those venues have been discussed but we can only do one at a time. I'm in the Monterey area of California so, for me, anyone of them would be a treat, just lend me the airfare!

The Peachstate chapter has 12-15 people right now planning on coming to the mid Year. 2 day drive up and 2 day drive back. Everyone is talking about spending 1-2 weeks in New England. The main question everyone has, after touring the Yale Furniture Study, can they sign up to photograph and measure a piece the week after the mid year. As in make the most of a long expensive trip. Thanks

Hey Bob,
Glad to hear that you guys/gals are planning to do the trip, it's only one day for me, but I'm going to fly! Anyway, of all the committees I've volunteered for the Major Events Committee is not one of them. However, Dave Redlin and Bob Van Dyke are co-leads of that committee, and I will forward your request to Dave. I'm sure to get an answer. It is a big ask but I'd be in on that one too for sure, if it's a go!
